Step into a journey of deep renewal at our upcoming Yoga Immersion, where the wisdom of asana meets the healing touch of Reiki and the ancient art of acupuncture. This is more than a workshop—it's a full-body reset. Move through grounding practices curated to open the body, then surrender into stillness as we use energy work to guide you toward balance. Whether releasing blocked Qi through fine needles or receiving Reiki's gentle life-force energy, you'll leave feeling aligned, restored, and deeply held.

Spring Yoga Immersion : Awakening the Meridian

Empower Through Touch: Skillful Adjustments in Asana
Date: Saturday 28th February and Sunday 1st March 2026 (0930-1630)

Duration: 2 Full Days (12 Contact Hours)
Suitability: Yoga Teachers, Teacher Trainees, and Advanced Practitioners
Pre-requisite: At least 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training or equivalent experience


Objectives:

  • Understand the principles of safe and effective hands-on adjustments
  • Learn when and why to offer an adjustment (vs. verbal cueing or demonstration)
  • Practice a variety of adjustment techniques in key asanas across major pose categories
  • Build sensitivity, consent-based approach, and energetic awareness in physical contact
     

Day 1 – Foundations and Standing/Seated Poses

SESSION 1

Welcome & Intention Setting

Introduction of facilitators and participants

Overview of workshop flow

Discussion on touch ethics, boundaries, and consent
 

SESSION 2

Module 1: Principles of Hands-On Adjustments

Types of adjustments: directive, stabilizing, deepening, energetic 

Consent protocols (verbal, cards, body language)

Anatomy of touch: grounding, firmness, and clarity

Trauma-informed considerations
 

SESSION 3

Module 2: Standing Poses Adjustments (Part I)

Tadasana, Warrior I & II, Triangle, Side Angle, Half Moon

Partner work: Adjustments for alignment, support, and balance

Feedback loops and refining sensitivity


SESSION 4

Module 3: Standing & Seated Poses (Part II)

Forward folds, twists, and hip openers

Seated poses: Paschimottanasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Janu Sirsasana

Hands-on practice in groups

Discussion: Verbal vs tactile cues
 

Closing Circle & Reflection

Journaling prompt: “What does it mean to empower through touch?" 

Q&A and preview of Day 2
 


Day 2- Backbends, Inversions, and Integration

SESSION 1

Morning Grounding Practice & Partner Trust Exercises

Breathwork, body awareness, and energy tracking in touch

Trust-building through paired movement
 

SESSION 2

Module 4: Backbends & Heart Openers

Cobra, Upward Dog, Bridge, Camel, Bow

Partner adjustments to support spinal integrity and openness

Use of props in adjustments
 

SESSION 3

Module 5: Inversions & Arm Balances

Downward Dog, Crow, Headstand (Tripod & Supported), Shoulderstand

Adjustments for safety, structure, and spotting techniques

Touch and trust in gravity-defying postures
 

SESSION 4

Module 6: Integration & Teaching Practice

Group teaching practice with feedback: giving, receiving, observing

Creating a safe container for physical adjustments in a class setting

Designing touch cue sequences for different class levels
 

CLOSING

Final Circle: Reflection, Certificates & Closing Ritual

Integration practices (journaling, short meditation) 

Group sharing: key takeaways and challenges

Certification of Completion Distribution

Closing gratitude ritual
 

Materials Provided:
